ADVANCES OF APPLIED RADIOCHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT

  • Development of entire-extraction technology for processing of SNF from NPP (modified Purex-process) for RT-2 plant design and examination of basic parameters of the technology on real samples. Examination of technologies developed by other organizations.




  • Development of cesium and strontium recovery technology using chlorinated cobalt dicarbollide and this technology introduction for processing of the waste, which have been accumulated at the site of PA "Mayak".
  • Creation of cesium- and strontium-selective film electrodes on the basis of cobalt dicarbollide and technetium-selective liquid electrode.
  • Development of sorption technology destined to recover technetium from waste solutions of RT-1 plant, realization of which has allowed to turning out of hundreds kilograms of high radiochemical purity technetium.
  • Large-scale testing of methods for discharge and dissolving of high-level sludge stored for a long time in RW storage reservoirs at Radiochemical Factory of Mining-and-Chemical Combine located in Zheleznogorsk city of Krasnoyarsk Region.
  • Creation of high optical efficiency luminaries on the basis of krypton-85, suitable for long-term use under off-line operation.
  • Rendering of technological services to foreign customers.
