These councils have a right to accept to upholding theses for Doctor's and Candidate's degrees in chemical, physical-and-mathematical, and technical sciences. Internal and extra-mural post-graduate courses available at the Institute train specialists for the mentioned above branches of science. On the basis of working rooms of V.I. Vernadskiy and V.G. Khlopin, who were the founders of the Institute, there is organized memorial museum. The Institute has scientific-and-technical library containing about 185 thousand registration units.
